Mini / Midi Section Mini Rugby like in most clubs is the starting point for Rugby with Sunday morning training sessions taking place at our Ashbrooke ground.
All games follow the RFU continuum and Durham County RFU Mini Section centrally coordinates game fixtures. We currently cater for three age ranges within the Mini Rugby section with carefully arranged fixtures for our Under 7/8's through to our U12's.
Our main objectives include - · To ensure the children enjoy themselves within a safe well managed environment · To develop and improve the rugby playing skills of all our players. · To produce knowledgeable and skilful rugby players who will progress on to senior rugby. · To produce skilled, fully qualified Coaches and Referees. · To provide an off field social scene which can be enjoyed by players, coaches, parents and friends in a friendly family atmosphere.
Mini / Midi Training (U8 to U12)
Training for Minis takes place from 10.30 to 12.30 approx each Sunday throughout the season (except match days). Matches are also played on Sunday mornings. Start time remains at 10.30 for home matches but players may be asked to arrive earlier for away fixtures. For more information contact the appropriate age group coach.
